My name is Emily, and I am the founder of Virtual Solutions Business Services.

I’m a Virtual Assistant – which is kind of like a Freelance PA – I work with small businesses, professionals and "solopreneurs" to take care of their administrative needs. I give you more time and energy, by taking care of those mundane business tasks, so that you can focus on doing what you love most.

​I have always had a passion for helping others, but I was never sure what career path I wanted to take as I had so many different interests. University didn't interest me, but I knew that I would find my calling another way some day.

​

When I was fresh out of Year 12, I commenced a Business Administration trainee-ship working as a Finance Administration Assistant for an Employment Agency. This is where my passion for finance, and admin ultimately began, and where I attained my Certificate III in Business Administration.

​

I than went on to work as a Receptionist / Personal Assistant for the Director of a local marketing agency. I was also responsible for assisting the Finance Manager with tasks such as accounts payable, receivable and bank reconciliations... but something just didn't feel right... I felt disengaged, and unfulfilled. I wanted more, I wanted to make a difference in peoples lives and I wanted to be my own boss.... I just didn't know how exactly yet.

​Two and have years ago I became a Mum to a beautiful little girl, and that is what truly opened my eyes. I didn't want to work full-time anymore, I wanted to be present for her, I wanted to be home more, work the hours I wanted and just have an overall better work life balance. But how could I make this dream a reality?

​

And then one day it dawned on me... I could do all of this work from home... online... remotely. So I started googling the idea... “work from home, remote jobs, remote business support?” “....Uh huh! That's it... A Virtual Assistant!” This was the perfect opportunity for me to combine all my skills and passions and turn it into a fulfilling career.

​

And that was it, from that moment on, I decided that's what I was going to do and I started calling myself a Virtual Assistant... and Virtual Solutions was created.
